History of Kawamura Electric Inc. (First Era)
1919. 8.01 Changed its trade name to Kawamura Electric Manufacturing, Limited Partnership.

1929.11.28 Kawamura Shohten Limited Partnership was established.
1929 Kawamura Shohten started manufacturing indoor wiring instruments, including cut-out switches and counterweights.
1941. 4.30 Changed its trade name to Kawamura Electric Manufacturing, Limited Partnership.
1945 At the end of World War II, the manufacturing division was reopened, resuming full-scale manufacturing and sales of wiring instruments under the slogan of "Building electrical infrastructure is the top priority of the post-war rehabilitation."
1946. 2.01 Changed its trade name to Kawamura Industries Limited Partnership with Suzukichi Kawamura installed as its representative.

1956.6.04 Kou Kawamura was installed as the representative of Kawamura Industries Limited Partnership.






















1960 Took the lead in developing and marketing residential distribution boards.
1961 Set up a manufacturing system for increased cover switch production.
1962 Started mass-production of distribution boards and control boards. Laid the foundation for large-scale manufacture of distribution boards.
1967.3.21 Reorganized as Kawamura Electric Inc. with Kou Kawamura installed as the president.
1968 Introduced injection-molding machines for manufacturing resin products, including the 3M line (Mark Switches, Mini Switches, and Mini Cuts). The performance of wiring circuit breaker models CB-15A and CB-20A were approved by meeting official requirements.
1969 Started full-scale production of cubicles and safety circuit breakers.
1970 Kawamura's earth leakage breaker was approved by meeting official requirements.
1973 Honji Plant began operation. (Currently produced items: cabinets and racks)
1982.4. Nagane Plant (currently Akatsuki No.3 Plant) becomes a certified JIS plant for earth leakage breakers.
1983 Sapporo Plant began operation. (Currently produced items: standard distribution boards, custom-made distribution boards, cubicles, and cabinets)
Kyushu Plant (currently Minamata Plant) began operation. (Currently produced items: standard distribution boards, custom-made distribution boards, cubicles, and cabinets)
1984.11.8 Nagane plant (currently Akatsuki No.3 Plant) receives Director general of Chubu Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry Award.
1986.5.22 Kawamura Electric Sales Inc. was established.
1988 Started marketing the standard distribution board series "Compo Board".
1989 Tsukuba Plant began operation. (Currently produced items: racks)

1991.5.20 Yukitoshi Kawamura was installed as the president.


























































1991 Started marketing JIS concord-type breakers.
1992 First Akatsuki Plant. (Currently produced items: cubicles, standard distribution boards, and custom-made distribution boards)
Third Akatsuki Plant started operation. (Currently produced items: residential distribution boards and breakers)
1992 The head office and the research and development center were completed.
1995 Put a rack series on the market.
1995.5.24 TechnoBan Inc. was established.
1996.11 Established JIE YOU ELECTRONICS CO.,LTD. as an affiliate.
1996 Started marketing the "Power Breaker" series and lidded residential distribution boards.
1996.1 Kawamura Logistics Service Inc. was established.
1996.8 Nagane Plant earns ISO9002 certification.
1997.11 The first Akatsuki Plant earns ISO9001 certification.
1998.12 Every plant of Kawamura Electric Inc., received the ISO9001 certification.
1999.11.01 Akatsuki sight earn ISO14001 certification.
2000.10.14 Established Shanghai Kawamura Electric Co.,Ltd. as a subsidiary.
2000 The "Smart" series on the market, including breakers, residential distribution boards, and cubicles released.
2000.12.27 KIDSWAY, Inc. was established.
20001.1.15 Kawamura Electric Trading, Inc. was established.
2002.8.16 Kawamura Electric Int'l(Shanghai)Inc was established in Shanghai.
2002.10.30 The "ECO Rack" series received the 2002 Good Design Award in the commercial product division.
2002.11.05 The main cafeteria "Akatsuki Shokudoh" received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery Award for providing healthy and comfortable employee dining environment.
2002.12.5 Kawamura Electric Technology(Shanghai)Ltd. was established in Shanghai.
2004.4 Kawamura West, Inc. was established.
2004.9.17 The establish ceremony for Kawamura Electric Technology(Shanghai)Ltd.
2004.9.27 Received 2004 Family Friendly Companies Awards from Director general of Aichi Bureau of Labor.
2004.10.1 Received 2004 Good Design Award for residential information distribution boards "Broadband Cabinets" and digital electric meter "e-Motors".
2004.11.8 Kawamura Electrical Appliance Manufacture(Shanghai)Ltd. was established in Shanghai.
2005.3.26 Kawamura Electric(Beijing)Inc. was established in Beijing.
2006.6.5 Kawamura Electric Technology(Shanghai)'s second plant construction was completed in Shanghai.
2006.6.23 Pretrackconcent was awarded a prize by Japan Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2006
2007.6.22 Smartlogger was awarded a prize by Japan Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2007
2007.10.5 Received 2007 Good Design Award for Wattmeter Box "MXV"
2007.9.5 Received a prize of Minister of Health,Labor and Welfare by Disabled person employment promotion.
2007.10.10 The sapporo plant moved to kitahiroshima-cty
2008.6.27 The"P-NEX" series received a prize by Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2008.
2009.7.3 Blade Breakert was awarded a prize by Japan Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2007
2010.7.1 eM-BREAKER was awarded a prize by Japan Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2010
